The Mallard duck is the most common duck around. First the Mallard duck can fly 55 mph. Now for the structures. The duck bobs his beak down in the water, catches a fish in his mouth, and gulps it down. The feathers on the Mallard duck are waterproof. The Mallard duck's feet help it keep its balance in the water. The wings help it attack and fly away. The Mallard duck lives in Asia, Europe, and North America in wetlands. The Mallard duck's flyway is through  the Central Valley, Pacific Coast of California, Pacific  Northwest, and the Western Boreal Forest. The Mallard duck's life span is about 5 to 10 years of age. The next time you see a duck in a pond it's probably a Mallard duck!
